Optoma introduces trio of new WUXGA laser projectors with the unveiling of the ZU607TST, ZU607T, and ZU707T models.

Being WUXGA projectors means they come with a resolution of 1920×1200 and a native aspect ratio of 16:10. They are advertised to deliver brightness levels of 6,000, 6,500, and 7,000 lumens respectively. Although the specific measurement type is not disclosed.

DuraCore Laser Engine

Apparently all three models use Optoma’s DuraCore laser engine. Due to this, they are rated for up to 30,000 hours of life which can only be achieved in Eco mode. They are specifically designed for 24/7 operation and offer 360-degree orientation and a portrait mode. Additional features include auto turn-on functionality and energy-saving auto turn-off mode. Optoma also made them IP6X certified, if that is of concern to you.

These models comes with a contrast ratio of 300,000:1. All three support 4K HDR and HLG signals, as well as 3D playback capabilities. Although these are not meant to be dedicated gaming projectors, a Game picture mode is also available. But this seems to affect the image quality and not the input lag of the picture.

Lens

The ZU607TST boasts a short-throw lens with a ratio of 0.58:1, capable of projecting images up to 300 inches diagonal from a distance of 3.75 meters (12.3 feet), and a 100-inch diagonal image from just over a meter away. There is also lens shift (-100 to 110% vertical, ±4% horizontal) for easier installation as well as keystone adjustment (up to 15 degrees both vertical and horizontal). The Keystone feature includes auto vertical keystone and 4-corner correction available.

On the other hand, the ZU607T and ZU707T offer a 1.6X manual zoom with a throw ratio ranging from 1.2:1 to 1.92:1, allowing for projection distances ranging from approximately 51 inches to 308 inches.

Connectivity

Connectivity wise all of them are fully packed and give you plenty of options to consider.

All of them come with two HDMI inputs and one output along with an Ethernet port. They also come equipped with a HDBaseT RJ45 port. You can use this for digital video input and control over long distances via Cat cable. Which is not something we see very often.

We also find two VGA and one composite video inputs. There are also two 3.5mm stereo audio inputs and one more output. Additionally, there are ports for 3D-Sync output, R-232C, and a 12-volt trigger output.

Custom Integration

Custom integration could not be missing as they are compatible with many known control platforms such as PJLink, Crestron Connected, and Extron IP Link. They also support fleet management through Optoma’s Optoma Management Suite software platform. Optoma’s platform enables remote monitoring, management, and diagnosis of multiple displays in real-time. It can also provide performance optimization and emergency message broadcasting.

The ZU607TST, ZU607T, and ZU707T measure exactly the same at 14.7 x 4.6 x 11.9 inches (WHD) and with a weight of 13.9 pounds. And thankfully all three projectors come with a backlit remote for ease of use.

It seems that all three are now available with estimated street prices of $4,199, $3,499, and $3,999 respectively.
